SENIOR SYSTEMS DESIGNER
This role will serve as the senior designer, conceptualizing, designing, and participating in the implementation of cutting-edge core mechanics, product meta, and economy for all our products. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a small project-oriented development team utilizing co-development partners to build fully realized free to play experiences (mobile, PC, etc). Additional experience working with major brands in the music, fashion, and lifestyle industries is a plus.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Possess a comprehensive understanding of the design process spanning all facets of the game.
• Champion best practices by advocating for streamlined tools and processes.
• Be a proactive self-starter that can independently execute high-level direction.
• Collaborate closely with a cross-disciplinary team to deliver world-class game systems.
• Own and drive the design and implementation of core gameplay mechanics, systems, loops, progression, rewards, and ecosystems.
• Prototype unique gameplay systems with a focus on game feel, scalability, and player experience.
• Design, develop, and use scripting tools to create, iterate, and balance multiple game mechanics and systems.
• Design and balance a broad collectible market of physical and virtual goods including blockchain/NFTs.
• Use data and analytics to inform decision making for systemically-driven content
• Develop features that support product expansion after launch (live operations).
• Collaborate effectively with fellow designers and other departments via clear communication, documentation, and proactive problem solving
• Effectively communicate by creating, reviewing, expanding, and maintaining design systems documentation and specifications.
• Actively participate in internal and external playtests to evaluate and provide feedback on all systems and content, with a focus on the user experience.
• Be a trusted gatekeeper for performance, efficiency, and quality.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Minimum 4-6 years of experience working on free-to-play mobile, PC, and/or console games.
• Portfolio of work showcasing samples of core game mechanic designs.
• Strong analytical systems design skills
• Experience leading teams of game developers, specifically other system designers, engineers, and data scientists.
• Ability to create interaction flow wireframes based on high-level product specs.
• Ability to create functional prototypes to test design ideas.
• Ability to design and conduct user research to understand customer needs and pain points.
• Strong communication skills.
• Competency scripting in Unity or Unreal.
• Pluses
