A remote-first role with HQ in the heart of Santa Monica, the team is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join a growing Product organization that’s changing the way local commerce is done.

In this role, you’ll work closely with product and engineering across multiple product lines, spanning both consumer and B2B SaaS experiences. You’ll contribute to all phases of the product development lifecycle, from strategy to discovery to delivery and beyond.

The ideal candidate is hands-on and equally comfortable with high-level exploration and tactical solutions. You’re able to understand the big picture and then quickly break it down into manageable steps. You relish diving in deep to understand complex problems and translate them into simple, elegant user-centered solutions - blending data, past learning and solid intuition. You can clearly communicate your vision and know how to balance customer needs, business goals and technical constraints. You’re passionate about design and how it can empower local business growth.

Position Summary:

• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to continually ideate, build, and ship high-quality work that drives business value within technical constraints
• Conduct competitive analysis, user research, and discovery to inform and validate design solutions
• Design intuitive, responsive experiences for consumer and B2B SaaS applications, utilizing personas, journey maps, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, etc.
• Own and make design decisions based on a deep understanding of user-centered design principles; you know when to follow existing paradigms and when to break them
• Assist with formulating and managing our product design roadmap and project planning
• Create visuals (email templates, site images, animations, etc.) to support product marketing
• Regularly give and receive feedback on designs and strategic product decisions
• Help drive continuous improvement of our design practice, from tools to process to team culture
• Advocate for customer-centered design across the organization

Job Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience working as a UX / UI Product Designer creating web and mobile applications for both B2C and B2B audiences, including SaaS products
• An online portfolio showcasing functional and visually compelling product solutions, with case studies explaining the role you played in bringing them to life
• Excellent product design fundamentals, including visual design, interaction design and UX research
• Experience applying UX research methodologies, quantitative data and competitive analysis to inform design decisions
• Skill in strategizing at a high level, then targeting the tactical pieces to iteratively build a solution
• Ability to take ideas from concept to execution, supporting design through the full product cycle as part of a fast-paced, agile product team
• Strong communicator who can effectively use storytelling to bring ideas to life and document decision-making, both visually and verbally
• Deep understanding of accessibility and responsive/adaptive design to accommodate both desktop and mobile
• Expertise in creating and using mature design systems, not just style guides
• Proficiency with standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, Miro and Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to be efficient and organized while working on multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with eCommerce and enterprise applications
• Willingness to work during Pacific Time zone hours some of the time
