An Insider's view of ConsumerAffairs

What's something quirky about your company?

My team encourages a bit of quirkiness by rendering a professional but inviting atmosphere and balance which allows for the desire to collaborate with others and create an inviting, rewarding and self-identifying atmosphere to enhance ongoing and inviting working relationships.

Courtney Donaldson

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

ConsumerAffairs is a remote-first organization. Whether it's a virtual group workout with a personal trainer or a lunch-and-learn to learn about Dia de los Muertos, we are connected. Leadership also makes a conscious effort to host monthly and quarterly update meetings so there is transparency between verticals.

Kirk Coleman

Talent Acquisition Manager

What are some things you learned at the company?

Working here has taught me to think big and go for what feels impossible because we are far more capable than we give ourselves credit. Nine years in, I'm proud to look back on all I've accomplished, but I'm even more excited about the future!

Jamie Ostroe

Director of Content

What is your vision for the company?

I think ConsumerAffairs has lots of upside potential as a company. It feels good to be part of delivering a really ambitious goal, in a fast changing environment, because when we get to the next level the gratification that will come makes it all worth it. It's a challenge worth taking on, so that's what motivates me to do what I'm doing every day,

Brian Owens

Head of SEO

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

In general - we run on Tulsa hours and it allows for most of us to have time in our day to focus on family and personal needs. i'm also pretty diligent about checking in with my team to see how they're doing and pushing them to take extra time-off breaks when and where it's needed or appropriate.

Jen Snow

Director, User Experience
