Senior Product Designer - Project Catalog at Upwork (Remote)

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Project Catalog Team. Launched in January 2021, Project Catalog is a new way for businesses and independent talent to work together instantly on the Upwork marketplace. You will make significant contributions to the growth and direction of Project Catalog. You’ll work on a dynamic team of designers, user researchers, content designers, PMs, and developers, to help freelancers discover new ways to grow their business and design creative solutions to help them succeed.
Define and craft delightful experiences that our customers love and tell their peers about!
Lead the design process end-to-end for your team: strategy, research, exploration, ideation, concepts, information architecture, interaction design, design specs, launch, and testing
Collaborate with our user researchers, product managers, data scientists, developers, and fellow designers to frame problems and take ideas from concept through implementation
Demonstrate high quality design practices by ensuring decisions are made with data and user insight.
Work with our existing UX/UI design patterns and make well-informed decisions when developing new patterns
Care about quality and the fine details of our product design, producing attractive solutions that encourage trust, connection, and happiness
Work iteratively and quickly, moving between a lightweight vision and shippable, steel thread designs
Further strengthen our design team through mentorship, design critiques, and knowledge sharing.
We’re an innovation focused team, so experience launching products at a fast pace in a startup environment is a plus.
A solid understanding of your users and determination to keep them and their goals at the heart of everything you do.
Curious and innovative, asking “what if” and explore multiple angles and possibilities.
An excellent teammate. You believe we are stronger together and are energized when you’re in a room (a virtual room) with inquisitive, outspoken people.
Diligent about quality and design details. You produce pixel tight, attractive work that other companies will look to emulate.
Experience designing flexible, responsive UIs that are elegant for both desktop and mobile
