Lead and Product Designer, Design System, MuleSoft a Salesforce Company

MuleSoft, a Salesforce Company, is looking for an exceptional product designer who is passionate about the Design System for our Data integration product team. On this team you'll have the opportunity to work with a team building integration products for both designers and developers that empower them to create applications on the Salesforce platform and as a stand alone solution. You'll shape Salesforce's user experience collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to bring your visions to life. You'll make an impact at scale while solving meaningful problems and creating new design patterns and paradigms, contributing directly to our design system and the products.

Experience / Skills required

  • Understanding of design systems as a cross-functional resource with the goal of improving workflow efficiency and collaboration
  • Ability to step back and see the whole ecosystem and provide solutions that better the entire user flow not only the feature
  • Identifying and creating design patterns across multiple touch points for designing at scale
  • Strong understanding development tools including APIs, IDEs, Git and ELT
  • Stellar user experience design and information architecture abilities
  • Work on web, mobile and tablet application interfaces
  • Solve complex interaction problems
  • Lead cross-functional brainstorms, discussions, and design reviews
  • Write detailed design specifications with engineers
  • Able to produce results independently as well as collaboratively in a team
  • Expert understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices
  • Expert knowledge of design tools such as Figma and Abstract
  • Able to hand code your own prototypes


Responsibilities

  • Advocate the needs of designers and developers building MuleSoft and Salesforce solutions
  • Evangelize new guidelines and design patterns that meet accessibility standards
  • Thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, agile environment
  • Able to successfully manage all aspects of a project from start to finish
  • Must be self-motivated, a good communicator, comfortable following direction, and able to balance great design with meeting short deadlines
  • Ability to communicate your ideas to a wide variety of key stakeholders
  • Ability to lead and manage large design initiatives
  • Comfortable with new and uncharted territories
  • Work with engineers to deliver polished final product
