From our product to employee experience, to our brand, design matters at Sprout Social. Driven by the possibilities between what is expected of us and what we are capable of, we strive to exceed expectations in every aspect of our work. This commitment to excellence, paired with a desire to create a more cohesive Sprout experience across all touch points, brings with it the need to develop deeper specializations across our design and creative disciplines.

In this newly created role, we’re looking for an experienced and well-practiced Senior Presentation Designer to join Sprout’s Brand Creative team, building bold, inspiring and authentic presentations that elevate visual storytelling at Sprout.

We’re looking for a strategic, curious and collaborative designer to create slides and presentation decks for internal and external distribution, including new business pitches, customer up-sell opportunities, product roadmaps, digital events, investor and analyst briefings and other corporate initiatives.

The ideal candidate will care deeply about the development and the telling of great stories that get people to take action and enhance the perception of Sprout. You’ll have a passion for creating slide templates, original graphics, illustrations, data visualizations, process flows and charts that fit our high standards, tastefully using animation and other interactive elements when warranted. While you are a designer first, your work goes beyond making things pretty. You consider the whole experience, working to unify copy, design and form.

Additionally, we’re looking for someone who can:

  • Quickly comprehend complex, information-dense and product-specific concepts.
  • Seek simplicity, distilling essential information in a visually engaging way that your audience can easily understand and remember.
  • Tackle projects with urgency, delivering high-quality work while contributing to multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Thrive in a highly collaborative environment, working with partners and internal stakeholders across various functions and levels.
  • Comfortably make recommendations rooted in best practices and proven outcomes that improve outputs while gracefully receiving feedback.
  • Adhere to brand guidelines, using constraints to heighten creativity, but know when to push boundaries.
  • Jump on additional visual design projects on an ad-hoc basis.

Qualifications

These are the minimum qualifications that our hiring team is looking for in this role:

  • 5+ years of overall design experience.
  • 2+ years of experience designing static and interactive presentations for large brands.
  • Advanced visual design skills with a strong understanding of hierarchy, typography, balance, color use and white space.
  • Strong business acumen with an affinity for solving problems and understanding stakeholder needs.
  • Expert level in Google Slides. (Experience with Keynote and Powerpoint a plus.)
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, and Indesign).
  • A portfolio that showcases advanced presentation-design skills, including animations, builds, dynamic charts, and diagrams.

Additionally, these are the preferred qualifications that would indicate a particularly strong candidate:

  • Experience in a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of Figma a plus.
  • Basic understanding of animation principles.

  • Attend stand-ups, kick-off meetings, and concept brainstorms with our partners.
  • Soak up knowledge from every team you interact with and ask many questions!

  • Work closely with a variety of partners across Marketing and within the Brand Creative team.
  • Gain a good understanding of the Sprout customer and their needs and how compelling storytelling can help solve their problems.
  • Learn from the Brand Creative team and become familiar with working within Sprout’s brand guidelines.

  • See projects from inception to conclusion with limited supervision.
  • Begin to work on projects with executive stakeholders.
  • Maintain brand integrity while advancing creativity within the context of project execution.
  • Work and iterate through the design process with creative check-ins, integrating feedback and creative direction throughout.
  • Be comfortable and proactive about working with the rest of the Brand Creative team to push our presentation designs and overall brand creativity.
  • Effortlessly contribute to meetings with partners by discussing a project’s key objectives, creative direction and design process.

Within 12 months you’ll…

  • Maintain brand integrity while advancing creativity within the context of project execution.
  • Be entirely at home as a critical member of the Brand Creative team and company with a deep understanding of the stakeholder's needs.
  • Have worked directly with senior leaders and built relationships across multiple departments.
  • Surprise us! Use your unique ideas and abilities to change Sprout in beneficial ways that we haven't even considered yet.

Note: An online portfolio showcasing relevant work is required for consideration.

Of course, what is outlined above is the ideal timeline, but things may shift based on business needs and other projects and tasks could be added at the discretion of your manager.
