Some roles can work virtual full-time if they are not near a Tech Hub, but that is dependent upon the needs of the position and amount of collaboration required.

Job Summary
The Comcast Accessibility Team's mission is to connect customers and employees with disabilities to the moments that matter. As a center of excellence with the TPX (Technology, Product, Experience) organization, we are responsible for developing the enterprise Accessibility strategy, advancing inclusive innovations and capabilities in our products and services, and deepening the integration of disability inclusion in our culture.

As the Accessibility Experience Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing strategic initiatives to define and deliver inclusive design standards, patterns, and systems utilized across the organization. You will be an agent of collaboration with a diverse group of partners as you drive the adoption of Accessibility design solutions with various Business, Product, Design, and Engineering teams. As an Accessibility subject matter expert, you will serve as an advisor and coach with key stakeholders, navigating challenges on the road to successful delivery of lovable and fully inclusive experiences.

Job Description
Core Responsibilities

  • Identifies, defines, and promotes high-impact initiatives to drive unified Inclusive Design standards, patterns, and systems across the organization
  • Contributes to the enterprise Accessibility strategy and multi-year roadmap
  • Identifies Program risks, issues, and dependencies - works with others to define and implement mitigation plans
  • Acts as a Center of Excellence point of contact for collaborators across the enterprise
  • Coaches accountable experience owners and cross-discipline leads in setting goals, applying inclusive design principles throughout the product lifecycle
  • Advises product partners on Accessibility standards, product requirements, and acceptance criteria
  • Consults with Product teams on disability research, usability, addressing customer feedback or complaints
  • Promotes the mission and vision for inclusive design & accessibility throughout the organization
  • Represents customers and employees with disabilities to impact accessibility in our products and services, aligned with company goals and values
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned



Skills and Requirements we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in an Accessibility focused role in fast paced technology business
  • Direct experience with telecommunications and entertainment a plus.
  • Working experience with design systems in software development
  • Proven strategic problem solver with a track record of delivering original solutions
  • Deep interest and understanding of consumer assistive technology products
  • Professional Accessibility certification a plus
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills with a demonstrated ability to execute against multiple projects and excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence cross-functional teams within a flexible work environment
  • Self-starter with ability to quickly grasp complex subject matter
  • Must be able to bridge the gap between business and technology
  • Ability to work with all levels within the organization
