The Yext Creative Studio is a fun, passionate, hard-working, strategic, and growing creative agency within the Marketing team of a fast-paced and innovative AI search technology company. We are looking for a dynamic and curious senior designer with a mind for B2B marketing, digital strategy and an eye for detail to join our growing team. The Senior Graphic Designer is a central key contributor and skilled visual communicator, responsible for conceiving and designing brand experiences in all media. This role will sit in our New York City HQ in the heart of the Meatpacking District. It will be a mix of brand-new creative, project management, production and execution for our global brand and digital initiatives.
Our dream candidate has stellar design and storytelling skills with a deep understanding of the craft of design, branding, and bringing ideas to life. You live at the intersection of marketing and user experience and understand how to take users on a complete journey from discovery to adoption and success. You understand that concept and execution are inseparable when it comes to design, and you know how to execute both at the highest level. You feel comfortable whiteboarding, pitching, and building comprehensive brand design systems — with a digital product understanding. What You'll Do
- Designing comprehensive identity and design systems for our global marketing efforts
- Developing simple and elegant approaches to complex design problems that keep user goals, business needs, technical requirements, and project budget in consideration
- Designing prospect and customer-facing content in a wide range of formats including print and digital advertising, social media, event marketing materials, presentation decks, one-sheets, infographics, creative marketing ideation, and various other sales and marketing materials
- Collaborating closely with the global Creative Studio team to drive innovation and differentiation of the Yext brand
- Collaborating cross-functionally with a diverse mix of teams, balancing the needs of stakeholders and always seeking opportunities to elevate the work and drive performance and results
- Supporting communication and production process with external vendors, as appropriate
- Staying at the pulse of industry trends and emerging opportunities, drawing inspiration for innovative techniques & creative ideas to experiment with
- Stewarding the proper usage of brand guidelines, logo usage and design standards across all projects
What You Have
- An energetic, flexible, and go-getter work style
- A high-end, editorial design aesthetic, with great attention to detail
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey concepts clearly and persuasively
- Self-motivated work habits, balancing multiple projects and timelines, with an ability to prioritize
- 6+ years experience at a B2B SaaS company, marketing company, tech company, digital agency or in-house creative group
- BA in Visual Design or relative practical/technical experience
- A portfolio showcasing B2B marketing, infographics, ad campaigns, brand systems, editorial, illustration, UX design, and UI design capabilities
- Highly collaborative and resourceful. An entrepreneurial mindset, able to blaze trails as needed
- Demonstrated fluency with design tools including the full suite of Adobe Creative Cloud and Sketch/Figma/Adobe XD. Competency working in GSuite products.
- Outstanding design and typography skills
- Proven experience in designing, preflighting, and outputting files for print and digital
- Interactive design principles and well-developed skills in creation and documentation (business requirements, interface design, functional specifications, persona work, component design, and information architecture)
- Motion graphics a plus
- Photography a plus
- Familiarity with a data-informed approach to design a plus (A/B testing tools, Google analytics, etc.)
