As part of our successful Accelerate Solutions business, this exciting new team will bring together designers, artists and engineers in order to build full games for our customers across a variety of platforms.

We’re looking for a Senior Game Designer to focus on incubating and helping prototype new game ideas. The role will ultimately involve taking a design from inception all the way through to release.

You’ll be comfortable working on all areas of design, from high-level concepts down to detailed mechanics. You will also thrive on variety and enjoy tackling design challenges across different game genres and themes. As you’ll be joining a new team, we’re also looking for someone to help establish the culture and processes we use.

The team will be based around our offices in Stratford-upon-Avon. Whilst we believe it’s essential for creative teams to come together periodically, our hybrid working policy will allow you to find the right balance between working from home and the office.

When we’re at the office you’ll find us in a set of converted farm buildings, surrounded by sheep and tractors, where the environment is informal, relaxed, and inclusive.

What you’ll be doing

• Defining high-level game concepts and helping prototype those ideas to find the fun.
• Assisting with the pitching of designs in the early stages of development.
• Working on a variety of game design aspects throughout the production cycle.
• Helping grow a larger design team over time.

What we’re looking for

• Experience of taking game designs from concept to release across multiple platforms.
• A passion for crafting fun and innovative game concepts and mechanics.
• An excellent understanding of great game designs past and present.

• Experience of developing in Unity.
• Experience hiring and building great design teams.
• Shipped titles on console or mobile platforms.
