WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for an outstanding Sr Footwear Color Designer for the Jordan Women's team to combine their experience, problem solving abilities, and creativity to help build the future of Jordan Women's Footwear Color Design.

The ideal candidate needs to be a highly creative problem solver, who doesn't settle for anything less than the best Color Design solutions, to meet the needs of the consumer or athlete. This person will be focused on elevating the consumer experience by focusing on both the art and science of Color strategy and application, and driving Color Design excellence through the connection of trend, design, development, and manufacturing.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you'll be leading Jordan Women's Color, by partnering with the Jordan FW Design, Materials, and Development teams, and bringing to life the seasonal creative direction through Footwear Color Design strategy and application. You will use your advanced skills to build color palettes based on seasonal creative concepts and color strategy. You will obsess color application on product, plan multi-season color blocking strategies, and craft a consumer and brand-right narrative through the use of color.

From establishing color direction, creating color palettes, finalizing color in tech packs, working with manufacturing partners to communicating directly with consumers, the daily responsibilities of this role are wide ranging, challenging, and rewarding!
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This role has a direct report, and reports directly to the Jordan Color Sr Design Director, while regularly partnering with other Footwear and Apparel Color Designers, Footwear Designers, Materials Designers, Developers, the Product Director, and Product Line Managers.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant Color Design experience or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Extensive experience creating color palettes and concepts and exploring new color blocking strategies
  • FW Color experience mandatory
  • Strong understanding of the Footwear Product Creation process
  • Experience working and communicating directly with manufacturing partners to ensure the accuracy of Color application and execution
  • Understanding of how the partnership with Brand on Color narratives operates
  • Experience managing other designers and leading strategic design direction a plus
  • Demonstrates leadership that influences process change
  • Leads in depth research on consumer trends, insights, competitors, for a focused market segment/category
  • Experience building inspiration/concept presentations, and mood boards for seasonal concepts and direction
