WHAT’S A SENIOR DESIGNER AT HOOK?

Senior Designers are experienced leaders that expertly use design to exceed client goals while working within the guard rails of existing branding and marketing strategies. They operate alongside creative teams to produce industry-leading advertising content across all mediums. While their performance is often directly measured by the quality of the work they produce, Senior Designers understand that it’s ultimately their ability to coach and develop fellow design talent that drives long term success. They are design fundamentalists, but approach projects with rational and innovative ideas, always mindful of how it looks and how it works.

The daily challenges range from overseeing (and guaranteeing) tactical design executions to directly leading conceptual design challenges for national and global brands/campaigns. Senior Designers are ready for hands-on projects at every stage of the life cycle, from brainstorming and developing creative campaigns with the project team to participating in client presentations and ensuring deadlines are met, all the way to launch.

  • Execute and manage original, persuasive, conceptual and visually compelling design work in line with agency standards.
  • Inspire and provide mentorship to Designers and Junior Design staff toward the goal of accelerating skill progression through a culture of collaboration, abstract thinking and knowledge sharing.
  • Work with Creative and Design Directors to ensure design work is conceptually sound, technically excellent, and solves marketing briefs.

  • Facilitate and inspire each employee's day-to-day growth.
  • Maintain and promote an internal awareness of industry design trends and standards with a strong focus on processes and tools.

  • Participate in high-level discussions with clients rooted in a strong point of view.
