SENIOR CREATIVE - ART
The Senior Creative - Art Director develops breakthrough communications and creatives ideas for brands and clients. You are comfortable with big ideas and with different ways of executing them, as well as with layout creation and information design. You work with team members to create work that strives for greatness while being on strategy and within deadline. You are a burgeoning leader and are growing your voice with clients and within the team.
Responsibilities:
- Have and maintain knowledge and understanding of client's products, their marketing objectives, audience(s), the treatment category, and competitive landscape
- Understand marketing plans including objectives and strategies and how success will be measured.
- Contribute innovative ideas and tactics appropriate drive a brand/product's strategy. Participate in strategic and tactical meetings to develop effective, strategically-aligned campaigns and work.
- Develop smart, single-minded ideas that are on unique, thought provoking, and on strategy. Works collaboratively with creative and cross-functional partners.
- Direct members of staff to ensure proper production of campaign elements.
- Keeps current on the latest award-winning advertising, film and graphic techniques, industry trends, plus media and technology innovations.
- Manages and carries out all relevant functions for the brand
- Maintains brand style guidelines, look, and feel
- Maintain proper layout and conceptual execution throughout all phases of campaign execution
- Review all materials for consistency in layout guidelines and all branding elements.
- Maintain quality control over all visual branding elements.
- Collaborate and communicate with team members in a productive manner to ensure goals are being met and to attain/maintain creative vision outlined for the agency
- Develop strong client relationships through the creation and sharing of creatively and strategically sound work, and through collaborative creative problem-solving
- Full understanding of client's marketplace and can evaluate work in light of current marketing environment;
- Assists with tactical plan development.
- Participate in strategic and tactical meetings with client and account management to develop effective advertising campaigns reflecting the clients objectives.
- Participate in "brainstorming" team meetings and medical legal clearance meetings
- Review and proofread all materials for consistency with editorial markups.
- Present creative work to clients.
- Skillfully produces work across all channels.
- Both manages and works independently while juggling multiple projects.
- Organizes thoughts effectively and communicates them well.
- Places emphasis on quality control and adherence to deadlines.
- Exhibits decisive problem-solving ability.
- Provide support and supervision to art directors on account(s).
- Follow-though and communicate with copy team, producers, and editorial departments to ensure smooth flow of jobs to meet deadlines.
- Develops strong internal relationships with creative supervisors and account counterparts.
- Has a solid client relationship; actively leads interactions with clients and forges bonds with stakeholders.
- Check and approve all visual materials through all stages of pre-production and production.
- Participate in new business presentations.
- Establish rapport with client and be able to present ideas in an organized, professional and effective manner.
- Proactively solve client problems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Fine Art/Design, Marketing, Advertising or related field, Master's or other advanced degree preferred;
- 4-7 years of experience in advertising agency or design firm / studio, as Art Director, Visual Designer or other relevant role
- Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Other specialty design, art or production skills are a plus - 3D, Illustration, Video, Photography, Photo Compositing/Retouching
- Portfolio showcasing evidence of strong conception, art direction, presentation and other design work
- Working knowledge of pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing concepts preferred
- Highly motivated, team-player and well-organized
- Extremely curious-likes to learn, explore and innovate
ZS is a global consulting firm. Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
