Drata is looking for a Senior Content Designer. This person will be a key member of the collaborative and growing product design team at one of the fastest growing, B2B SaaS startups that has already achieved unicorn status. We’re looking for someone who identifies as a ‘doer’ and is comfortable working cross-functionally and externally in helping Drata achieve its growth goals. This role will report to Drata’s Director of Design but work directly with product and engineering leaders.

What you’ll do:

As Drata’s first Content Designer, you will define how language and communication guide our users through the complexities of security and compliance. This role will focus on the product experience and is not a content marketing or social media communications role. You will…

  • Organize complex technical concepts into consistent, approachable, and maybe even fun language
  • Establish the style guide, principles, and workflows for writing useful and clear product content that amplifies Drata’s strategic vision and the value our platform delivers to customers
  • Lead workshops and training to engrain content design throughout our product organization
  • Synthesize research insights into content direction for compelling and understandable experiences
  • Collaborate with product designers and product managers to disambiguate user needs and deliver compelling experiences
  • Support multiple teams to deliver thoughtful experiences, either leading the delivery yourself or mentoring others
  • Deliver visual artifacts to guide and codify product delivery, such as concept diagrams, sitemaps, and user journeys
  • Provide constructive feedback to fellow designers and product managers on new feature design efforts
  • Collaborate with product team to define metrics for success that will ground our future work and elevate Drata’s strategic vision for our platform
  • Manage, refine and scale our nascent design system by creating and documenting repeatable patterns and principles for content
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure a cohesive brand voice between in-app content and marketing and sales communications
  • Provide direction to external agencies and freelancers
  • Commit to making our product accessible and inclusive to all users
  • Operationalize best practices with your colleagues to create a world-class design team
  • Work remotely but occasionally travel to meet in person

What you’ll bring:

  • 4 - 5+ years working in Content Design, Content Strategy, or UX Writing, preferably at a high-growth SaaS company
  • A portfolio demonstrating your approach to solving problems with content. Please highlight examples that guide users through complexity
  • Experience with content localization
  • Experience participating in user research
  • Experience working in direct collaboration with product managers
  • Experience working in direct collaboration with developers/engineers in an agile environment.
  • Ability to work across multiple projects and maintain a strong attention to detail
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized. You know when to push boundaries and when to just get stuff done
  • Must work well with others and be open to feedback from multiple stakeholders; no creative ego
  • Must be a self-starter who excels at multitasking and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with editing copy directly in Figma prototypes
