Location: Washington, DC (Can be performed remotely)
Compensation: $115,000-$120,000 or $105/hr-$108/hr on C2C
Contact Length: 6-9 Months with potential for extension
Aitheras LLC is seeking a talented and experienced Senior UX/UI Designer to join our team on a contract basis, working in collaboration with the Levine Institute for Holocaust Education as part of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. The primary focus of this position will be the Collections Search Digital Resources Experience Project, with potential involvement in other projects as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the on-staff UX Designer to create prototypes and low to high fidelity designs, utilizing existing user research and wireframes
- Design complex search interfaces for the Collections Search item detail page, ensuring usability and an exceptional user experience
- Conduct user testing using online tools such as Usability Hub, Zoom, and UserInterviews.com, and incorporate feedback to refine designs
- Work closely with developers to determine feasibility and make adjustments to design solutions as necessary
- Assist with other user interface design and user testing work for the Museum as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in UX/UI design
- Comprehensive understanding of user interface design, including creating wireframes, prototypes, and low to high fidelity designs
- Proficient in handing off style guides and specs to developers
- Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch and Figma
- Strong experience in conducting user testing and implementing feedback to improve designs
- Experience with Agile project implementation methodology is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
