Perpay is located in Center City, Philadelphia in a new, open floor plan, river-front office. A coffee bar sits at the heart of the office with espresso, drip coffee, cold brew and tea options. The rest of the office has comfortable, open seating including: sitting desks, standing desks, couches, lounge chairs, and kitchen booths & tables. About the Role:
As a Product Designer at Perpay, you will lead product design and execution in your product area, with an eye to Perpay’s overall design systems and product vision. You will use data and research to design user experiences, expand our pattern library, and create new digital products. You are passionate about user needs and pain points, and working with cross-functional partners to simplify complex problems and to design elegant solutions that delight our customers.

Responsibilities:
- Leading design projects across the entire product lifecycle and multiple product launches
- Execute designs using our design system, evolving our library and patterns
- Conduct UX studies and research
- Use design thinking to facilitate cross functional ideation and collaboration
- Work closely with product, operations and engineers
- Use research and data to deeply understand our customers and their needs
- Advocate for user journeys, pain points, and goals through design work
- Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes; knowing when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail, and when to make low-fi sketches and prototypes
- Take projects from napkin sketches to final visual specifications
What You'll Bring:
- 2+ years of consumer-facing product design experience
- B.S./M.S. in User Experience Design or HCI, or equivalent work experience
- Deep Understanding of design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Experience in conducting usability studies and synthesizing results
- Passion for our purpose of creating access to credit and building credit for our customers
- Strong customer empathy and experience shaping products based on customer needs
- An eye for long-term strategic vision, and can also operate in the details of short-term projects
- Natural curiosity and growth mindset, obsession with the details
- Proven experience designing consumer facing digital products
