About the Role
The Esper Product team is looking for a Product Designer to help define and deliver software that goes beyond the screen and empowers developers and companies to remotely scale and manage their mission-critical edge devices.

As a Product Designer at Esper, you will work fluidly and collaboratively with the rest of the organization through all aspects of the design process, from user testing to design documentation, and handoffs to engineering. This role will be well-suited for someone with a particular interest in defining delightful experiences that marry both soft and physical form factors.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and other business partners to arrive at the best possible designs in collaboration with the product design team
- Translating technical requirements into vetted design concepts for easy-to-use interfaces
- Designing features that can evolve in functionality to balance shipping quickly with scaling for future iterations
- Designing high-fidelity flows for rapid prototyping
- Working closely with Engineering to ensure a high-quality implementation
- Becoming an integral part of our small but mighty design team
What We're Looking For
- Have 3+ years of industry experience as a User Experience Designer, User Interface Designer or Product Designer
- Love tackling ambiguous problems and asking questions that guide your design approach
- Have worked with a design system and have experience following brand and design guidelines to create new screen designs
- Have demonstrated experience pivoting or expanding on an existing design direction to support multiple use cases
- Have experience in an agile environment, collaborating with product managers and development teams who build iteratively
- Have leveraged prototyping skills to articulate user flows, especially in cases where interactions may be particularly nuanced
Projects You Could Work On
- Exploring, developing and iterating on new user flows and feature functionality
- Creating prototypes and conducting usability tests to validate product design concepts
- Expanding on existing features, ensuring a seamless experience with other parts of the product
