Guideline is looking for a Principal Product Designer to join our growing Design Team. You will be joining a team of product and visual designers who foster growth and a culture of learning. From designing tools that help individuals seamlessly navigate their financial future to building new retirement offerings, you'll contribute to our company mission of ensuring everyone arrives at retirement with a plan.

What will you be working on?

Guideline aims to give everyone a better future by making it easy (and enjoyable!) to save for retirement. We're disrupting an industry that hasn't seen innovation in over 40 years — an industry that's left small businesses and a changing workforce behind. You'll help reimagine financial benefits and retirement planning from the ground up.

The Team

Our product designers own their problem space and work closely with PMs and Engineers.

You will

• Lead design strategy across our web and mobile platforms by owning the end-to-end user experience from research to execution.
• Work cross-functionally with our Product, Marketing and Engineering teams to build products that delight our end consumers.
• Use data and structure to create scalable processes that you'll drive.
• Collaborate with a passionate group of technologists and individuals who are open to learning and developing each other.
• Participate in design reviews and create company-wide design standards to drive long-term design vision.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience designing for cross-platform web and mobile applications
• Expertise in the latest design tools for prototyping and ability to recommend new tooling when needed (we use Figma and Sketch)
• Ability to own the full design process from UX Research to implementing design specifications
• Proven capabilities in mentoring and coaching others in design best practices that ultimately level up the whole team
