Webflow is a visual web development platform that empowers non-coders to create incredible experiences for the web.

The Product Design Director will lead our core product pillars to drive innovation of Webflow’s core product experience—how users build dynamic sites with the designer, data, and logic. This role will play an integral part in how design shapes the future of Webflow’s product experience and work closely with other product design leaders.

About the role

    • Location: US remote
    • Full-time

As a Product Design Director, you’ll:

  • Drive product design strategy and manage towards outcomes for Webflow’s core product experience (designer, data, logic, and ecosystem)
  • Be responsible for taking an inclusive approach in recruiting and hiring a world-class product design team
  • Develop product designers and product design managers through candid feedback, coaching, and mentorship
  • Work with Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) leads to develop the vision, strategy, and operations of your initiatives
  • Advocate for our customers through human-centered design and innovate on our product experience to solve their needs

That said, these responsibilities are just the start! At Webflow, we encourage you to contribute wherever your interests take you — and shape your role accordingly. And this isn’t just a philosophical bent: we actually give you 4 hours a week (10% of the work week) to pursue passion projects outside of your role responsibilities.

About you

You’ll thrive as a Product Design Director if:

  • Have experience working on complex products at a scaling company (We’re in our Series B stage and growing)
  • You have demonstrated experience managing product designers and product design managers in a remote environment
  • Are energized by the type of work unique to a fast-growing company and have demonstrated leadership in shepherding a design org through this phase
  • You care about the impact a high quality interface has on end users, and can give effective design direction while supporting product teams' autonomy and designer's individual growth
  • Have previous experience with creator or design tools

If you don’t meet 100% of the above qualifications, you should still seriously consider applying. Studies show that you can still be considered for a role if you meet just 50% of the role’s requirements.
