We're currently looking for: Principal Product Designer
We're looking for a Principal Product Designer to lead, create and deliver messaging, calling and meeting experiences for small business and enterprise users for desktop and mobile. You'll rely on user-centered design methods to craft user experiences-from concept to execution. You have experience designing for consumer applications and can bring that mindset to help simplify complex problems in a business context.
You'll partner with product managers and collaborate equally well with designers, content strategists, researchers and engineers in U.S. and remote offices. You adapt well to changing priorities and different flavors of projects, from forward-thinking initiatives to clearly defined projects that move fast and are quick wins for the team. You have a passion for design, learning and innovation.
The Principal Product Designer i s an individual contributor (IC) role that will report to a UX Director.
To succeed in this role you must have experience in and be able to:
- Practice and promote customer-centered thinking as you design experiences that solve customer problems and create best-in-class experiences for our most high impact areas.
- Drive large projects from design concepts through strategy and planning, and create solutions that are data-driven.
- Use experimentation and A/B testing to drive growth in new customer acquisition.
- Partner with Product Managers, Researchers and Content Strategists to define and work through problems, goals and solutions.
- Conduct competitive analyses.
- Balance user experience requirements with business goals as part of the design process.
- Define the design vision and contribute to the architecture of near and long term user experience.
- Create user scenarios, user journeys, flows, UI designs and prototypes.
- Provide high-fidelity assets and specs ready for engineering.
- Act as a key liaison with the global engineering teams responsible for the implementation of the designs.
- Drive timelines, coordinate resources, and communicate constantly for alignment and transparency within a cross-functional team.
- Work with the Design Systems team to conform with the latest design system and contribute to its evolution.
- Contribute to the growth and culture of the UX team.
- Be proactive, open, honest, and transparent.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in digital product development such as mobile apps, desktop, web, and/or digital ecosystems
- Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and/or Visual Communication Design or an equivalent discipline
- Must have 2-3 years of experience in designing for conversion oriented content. For example: product/marketing landing pages, ecommerce and checkout flows and/or SAAS signup flows
- Strong portfolio demonstrating discovery, interaction, and visual design skills for mobile and desktop/web applications
- Experience leading projects end-to-end, using design rationale based on metrics, customer feedback, and usability findings, and presenting to leadership and executives.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in Figma
- Ability to do qualitative research and validation testing
- Ability to plan/facilitate workshops and group design activities

If you are hired in Belmont , the compensation range for this position is between $ 169,920 and $236,000 for full-time employees, in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, health and wellness, 401k, ESPP, vacation, parental leave, and more! The salary may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
