What You Will Contribute:
This position is primarily responsible for Printed Circuit Board Layout using CAD Software. Secondary activities may include prototype assembly, troubleshooting, and testing. Utilizing various test equipment will be fundamental to troubleshooting and testing.
Job Duties:
- The Technician will use PCB Design Software and is familiar with proper board design techniques.
- Follow schematics, and assembly diagrams.
- Solder through hole and surface mount components.
- Some mechanical assembly and wiring.
- Test and troubleshoot circuit boards.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience using PCB Design Software (Altium preferred, not required)
- Experience with mixed signal (analog/high speed digital) printed circuit board design.
- Basic knowledge of PCB design as it would apply to easier manufacturing and assembly processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intermediate soldering skills needed to populate components on PCB prototypes.
- Knowledge of proper setup and use of test equipment:
- i.e., Digital Volt Meters, Oscilloscopes, RF Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers and Network Analyzers
