LightStream is in the innovation arm of Truist Bank, specializing in providing digital products to consumers through multiple channels. Using its proprietary technology, LightStream offers a completely digital and paperless experience to our customers, highly competitive rates and products, and an exceptional customer experience.

LightStream is looking for an experienced UX Designer who is motivated to solve complex business challenges through design thinking. We're focused on building our digital experiences from the ground up to meet the demands of the growing fintech marketplace. This role will architect all acquisition digital touchpoints and end-user interfacing internal systems to support the marketing /customer acquisition value stream. The role is part of LightStream's full stack agile team and is co-located with marketing. The ideal candidate will be passionate about design and excited to contribute to the creation of a best in class digital experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Own and lead marketing acquisition digital user experience strategy, testing, and design.
  • Collect and analyze user behaviors and needs through qualitative and quantitative user research such as interviews, field studies, surveys, A/B testing, digital experience monitoring, and usability testing.
  • Design solutions to address critical user pain points and opportunities to increase efficiency.
  • Conduct competitive analyses of other websites within banking, fintech, and online experience leaders.
  • Work with internal analysts and data science partners to evaluate target segments, visitor behaviors and task success.
  • Partner with various marketing channel leaders to drive improvements to digital channel acquisition experiences that yield measurable results and improved acquisition metrics.
  • Brainstorm concepts, develop mockups and run usability studies.
  • Develop task flow, user storyboards, and other design documents to share vision with others.
  • Create navigation maps, flows, and diagrams to document design decisions.
  • Create wireframes for design and development teams.
  • Work hand-in-hand with UI designer and developers on project builds.
  • Support agile workflow with timely production and purposeful iteration.
  • Participate in the creation of content strategy documents.
  • Work closely with product manager in UX ideation and innovation, ensuring work aligns with value stream priorities and meets value stream deadlines, priorities and cadences.
  • Track usability goals and prepare reports for senior management.



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in information technology, visual design, interaction design or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years of experience in UX or interaction design.
  • UX experience in a performance marketing environment.
  • Portfolio showcasing your end-to-end design process.
  • Ability to prototype in Axure, Invision, Adobe XD, or similar tools.
  • Advanced skills with Sketch, Photoshop, or other design tools.
  • Experience in UX research and ability to grow into end-to-end study execution.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team.
