ROLE MISSION

15Five Transform offers manager development and skills coaching -- based on evidence-based management practices which are supercharged by 15Five software. The Transform department functions as a fast-growth start-up within the organization, developing the world’s best managers and thriving teams.


The Learning Designer will be responsible for aiding in the growth of our educational offerings, in both live and online educational experiences. Your work will support in TRANSFORMING managers across all industries through world-class management training and development experiences. This role directly supports our Director of Strategy and Experience with the design elements of educational content development, and continuously iterates those systems for improvement.


The Learning Designer role is multifaceted due to the nature of the educational products we offer. Our diverse range of clients requires the ability to adapt and perform in numerous execution and project functions.


The Learning Designer effectively collaborates across different departments, acting as a project manager, content creator and designer.


OUTCOMES

  • Co-create Transform’s Instructional design process 
  • Partner with the Director of Strategy & Experience to help standardize & shape our approach to instructional design for maximum customer impact
  • Increase efficiency and effectiveness of current instructional design processes 
  • Keep current on best practices in instructional design, in both the online and live format

  • Audit current Transform curriculum, ensuring content meets to the latest design standards
  • Analyze, update, and refine existing online and live content
  • Analyze, update, and refine existing course resources
  •  

  • Create new Transformational leadership courses to be delivered online & live 
  • Design learning activities, assignments, and assessments
  • Create learning experiences and environments
  • Create learning measurements and assessments 
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop new course content
  • Write and edit course transcripts for high-quality video and audio content

COMPETENCIES

  • Instructional design expertise- specifically creating impactful learning experiences for leaders, managers, and teams
  • Adult Learning - mastery and application of the most effective methods
  • Working knowledge of management/leadership skills and growth strategies
  • Content creation- able to create course prototypes for managers on the fly 
  • Content management- responsible for version control and quality of various iterations of content 
  • Strength in organization and project management, including the ability to organize people and resources to meet deadlines and ensure timely and effective delivery of course experiences 
  • Tech-savvy and ability to work effectively in a remote work environment
  • Empathy for customer/user experiences and the challenges of learning in the flow of work.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Corporate experience working in or with Leadership, Talent, Learning, and/or Organizational Development leaders and teams
  • Course and content development expertise in leadership and management skills and best practices
  • Understanding and practical application experience leveraging modern people science 
  • Passion for inspiring transformation, growth, and unlocking the potential of every member of the global workforce

SAMPLE WEEK IN THE LIFE

  • Monday: Company Boost Meeting, Weekly Design Planning, Content Review Call
  • Tuesday: Team Sync, Course Creation and Design, Course Review and Refinement, Design Process documentation work
  • Wednesday: Work with SME to design new courses, Course Creation and Design, Course Review and Refinement
  • Thursday: Deep workday- Course Creation and Design, Course Review and Refinement
  • Friday: Deep workday- Course Creation and Design, Course Review and Refinement
