The Lead UX Designer will work collaboratively with UX, product management, and implementation teams to design new features and improvements for our leading automotive web and mobile applications for VinSolutions . This designer will work directly with teams building products to create intuitive, useful, substantive, and scalable designs to help our clients better meet consumer demand. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with other team members to solve complex user and business problems and can easily adapt and grow within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create user-centered designs by synthesizing market analysis, customer feedback, user research and technical constraints
  • Iterate and improve designs with user research and stakeholder feedback
  • Participate in regular design reviews and be ready to clearly rationalize and justify design choices, referring to research and requirements documentation
  • Create UX deliverables such as journey maps, process flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
  • Extend and apply the design system by working with existing templates, icon libraries, reusable app components, style guides, and brand standards
  • Develop and maintain detailed user interface specifications, working closely with developers to see designs through to deployment, including participation in user acceptance testing
  • Keep abreast of the latest UX design, technology trends, and design software
  • Estimate effort, plan schedules and manage time effectively
  • Understand technical, business, and time limitations, and design within these constraints


Required Skills & Relevant Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field (HCI, Graphic Design, Industrial Design) and 6 years work experience
  • 5 years experience creating scalable, dynamic, web-based software design solutions for large-scale platforms
  • 5 years experience using modern design and prototyping tools, Figma a plus
  • Experience designing complex B2B user interfaces a plus
  • Deep understanding of, and experience with, the full UX design process, including information architecture, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups, with emphasis on wireframes and mockups.
  • Extensive understanding of human interface guidelines, current possibilities and limitations of hardware and operating systems, and basic design requirements (e.g., icon and artwork sizes, screen resolutions, retina graphics, etc.)
  • Flexibility and openness to feedback from cross-functional team members
  • Strong prioritization, planning and time management skills
  • Ability to balance multiple projects or tasks effectively without close supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and follow through
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Strong portfolio of UX design work showing many examples of web and/or native mobile apps
