Job Description

We are looking for a driven and creative designer to join our team. You will be responsible for creating and designing web elements for our sophisticated SaaS platform. You will work with UX Designers, Product Managers, and the Engineering team to translate high-level requirements into beautiful, functional user interfaces.

This is a contract role, with the right to hire or extend.

Responsibilities

• Work on the user experience for the Govini Decision Science Platform
• Help engineers and product managers define both the long-term strategy and the short-term tactics for our products
• Be able to operate autonomously and in a collaborative team environment
• Sometimes work on very broadly defined, loose concepts, and sometimes on narrowly defined, tactical features
• Work in a highly energetic fashion with the design and product teams
• Consider all parts when crafting the experience—from data to user goals, to beautifully crafted user interfaces

Qualficiations

• US CItizenship required




Required Skills
• An online portfolio with web design samples
• Expertise using Figma in various parts of the design process, such as wireframing, prototyping, and creating/maintaining design systems
• Familiarity with Agile workflow
• A desire to strive for excellence and grow your skillset
• The ability to explain your design decisions, receive constructive critique, and iterate rapidly




Desired Skills
• Proven experience working at a high-paced tech start-up
• Experience with user research/usability testing
• Experience high and low-level information architecture problems
• Experience working on a data-driven product or platform
