After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we plan to scale to 300 team members in 2022. Flex is looking for a rockstar Instructional Designer to curate content and design interactive learning solutions that align with the needs of our sales team. Develop new learning experiences using various formats including but not limited to instructor-led, self-paced web-based, distance-learning and computer-based technologies. May also be responsible for graphic design, branding and support of multimedia learning solutions. Incorporate practical application exercises using modern tools and techniques and adult learning best practices.

Ideal candidates are seasoned learning and development professionals with a strong grasp of adult learning methodology and experience designing and delivering training that incorporates a variety of accelerated and/or blended learning methods. Develop training programs, performance support tools, and resources resulting from the analysis of learning needs, working environments, knowledge gaps, and behavioral changes.

What You'll Do:

  • Leverage our LMS to design, develop, deliver, and implement instructional programs. 
  • Develop and deliver systems training across our tech stack. 
  • Promote and support compliance with company policies, procedures, standards of ethics and integrity through our learning materials. 
  • Measure and track learning completions, feedback, and outcomes to drive future training prioritizations. Design and deliver sales onboarding programs across multiple roles. 
  • Collaborate with partners and subject matter experts to deliver results in a complex and ever-changing work environment. Create supporting multi-media. 
  • Transform content into engaging instructional materials ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. 
  • Ensure training effectiveness by creating and implementing assessments to gauge participant knowledge, skills, behaviors, and business impact. 
  • Review and interpret participant feedback and assessment results. Identify gaps in content and learning materials. 
  • Partner with sales leaders and business partners to identify performance gaps and learning needs. Evaluate the business unit’s overall learning requirements, business objectives, desired results, and constraints. 
  • Recommend and implement adjustments to training programs and provide feedback to leadership for process improvements and program enhancements.

Who You Are:

  • Is an innovative, driven, problem-solving instructional designer and trainer with experience working across multiple instructional delivery modalities to create high-quality learning experiences to support a growing team of sales executives.
  • Possess 5+ years of sales instructional design and delivery experience creating imaginative, innovative, instructional elements that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrate proficient use of various eLearning authoring tools.
  • Know the Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud suites. 
  • Be an exceptional communicator, writer, and editor.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in adult learning methodology.
  • Have sales training experience and a thorough understanding of B2B prospecting, territory management, forecasting, funnel management, and sales techniques.
  • Design learning objectives and effectively identify tools for managing, monitoring, and evaluating training.
  • Organize essential ideas and structure comprehensive learning events.
  • Be an extremely resilient, adaptive person who is quick on their feet. Agile.
  • Be enthusiastic about designing and developing effective learning solutions.

An Insider's view of Flex

What does your typical day look like?

Depending on the week, you'll find me prepping for training calls, scheduling account reviews, meeting with partners to introduce our product, and working with our Product and CS teams on troubleshooting and implementation items. I also set timers that remind me to take breaks at least 4 times a day and take walks during lunch and after work.
