Job Description

We are seeking a creative, solution-oriented Instructional Designer. This position, within our US Client Training team, is responsible for the design and development of learning content to support our industry-leading platforms and services. This role will have a direct impact on our internal associates and clients’ learning experience and overall satisfaction with our products and services.

The ideal candidate is skilled at transforming technical content into an engaging and interactive learning experience via multiple modalities including instructor-led training (classroom and virtual), eLearning, videos, and job aids. 


Responsibilities 

  • Uses knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design processes to design and develop digital and instructor led training assets for NielsenIQ’s platforms and services 

  • Designs and develops micro learning assets like videos and job aids using Google slides, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, Screencast-o-matic, and other software

  • Creates training assets that simplify learning of complex NIQ products and data

  • Assists in negotiating learning objectives, strategies, plans, and deliverables with Trainers, key NielsenIQ’s stakeholders, client teams, subject matter experts, and preferred vendors

  • Uses an efficient, effective and methodical approach to instructional planning, script writing and storyboard development

  • Actively engages in continuous improvement efforts

  • May conduct in-person, classroom and virtual software and soft skills training to support Nielsen software products


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field Instructional Design, Training or equivalent education / experience 

  • Experience with transforming technical content into an engaging and interactive learning experience via multiple modalities including instructor-led training (classroom and virtual), eLearning, videos, and job aids

  • Has a natural curiosity and ability to probe into highly technical topics and translate into more simple, relatable & compelling training content

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong presentation and organizational skills

  • Ability to successfully manage projects and deadlines 

  • Attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality results
