Instructional Designer
What We Need
The Instructional Designer will be responsible for the design, development and deployment of all customer product training across Kareo’s organization. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who has a strong instructional design and training background. The ideal candidate will be someone who has built training and developed programs from the ground-up and is open to trying new, innovative approaches to learning. They must excel in earning trust when working cross-functionally, possess great communication skills, demonstrate high standards and design with the customer in mind. Successful candidates will have relevant experience in managing multiple projects and enjoy the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment to help build content, empower end-users with seamless asynchronous learnings and help drive product adoption.
Your Area of Focus
- Analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of all customer training content
- Redesign and development of core role-based self-paced e-Learnings that engages the learner and enhances knowledge retention
- Design and develop basic, intermediate and advanced learning programs
- Manage and maintain customer training platform (LMS)
- Applies advanced adult learning theories into practical, application-based learning strategy
- Partners and collaborates with other learning professionals and business partners in developing consistent learning experiences
- Develops comprehensive measurement strategies for all learning solutions to demonstrate impact and effectiveness (Kirkpatrick’s Level of Evaluation)
- Working with program and project managers across the organization to create seamless training experiences for end-users
- Continually striving to raise the bar on our training experiences by measuring the impact and seeking customer feedback to determine areas for improvement
- Influencing key stakeholders to continually invest in the value of customer education
Your Professional Qualifications
- A demonstrated commitment to instructional design through education. Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree and/or 3-5+ years of instructional design, curriculum development, experience with adult learning theory
- Experience working in an agile (SAM) and waterfall (ADDIE) design environment
- Experience designing, developing and delivering emerging learning solutions including game-based learning, video, micro-learning, simulations, and immersive scenarios requiring multiple branching elements strongly preferred
- Strong proficiency with industry standard design/authoring software; Camtasia, Storyline, Audacity, Microsoft Office, etc.
- ILT, VILT, WBT: 3-5 years (preferred)
- Strong project management and leadership skills to achieve design target timelines
- Experience in healthcare technology/medical industry strongly preferred
- Ability to analyze metrics and prepare reports on project efficiencies and/or deficiencies
