Instructional Designer
Human Interest is on a mission to ensure that people in all lines of work have access to retirement benefits.
Social Security, our nation’s retirement safety net, is projected to be insolvent as soon as 2035, making employer-sponsored 401(k) plans the primary retirement savings vehicle in the U.S. Nearly half of all working Americans are not saving enough for their future because they are employed by a company that doesn’t offer a retirement plan. Human Interest is changing that by making it affordable and accessible for small and medium sized businesses to offer employees a path to financial independence through retirement savings.
Our values are the guiding principles we use to build solutions for plan administrators and participants. They reflect our point of view on what’s important and what’s right:
In it for customers, autonomous & accountable, outcomes driven, inclusive collaboration, and decisive.
As an instructional designer at Human Interest you will create best-in-class training programs for Human Interest that empower our staff to deliver on our mission to ensure that people in all lines of work have access to retirement benefits.
What you get to do every day
- Design & Develop: Create scalable, blended, self-guided, and/or instructor-led training content, job aids, assessment tools, and facilitator guides that leverage adult learning best practices to maximize learner retention and increase participant job performance. Thoroughly test and troubleshoot digital learning solutions across multiple devices and browsers to ensure seamless learner experience.
- Coordinate & Execute: Project manage all aspects of training development including project scoping, storyboarding, building and revising training based on SME input.
- Research: Delve deeply into all existing process and training material to distill the most useful information for learners. Where applicable, create guides that better organize or centralize widely distributed information for better ease of access.
- Measure: Continuously improve training offerings through strategic assessment and impact measurement. Revise training programs as needed based on data and stakeholder input.
- Build Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with cross functional partners. Communicate regularly with operational leaders to propose learning solutions to address performance gaps, assist in the launch of new products or processes, and rapidly scale the organization.
- Improve our Ability to Solve: Partner with operational leaders to enhance team member skills, positively impacting single agent resolution (SAR) and improving customer experience.
- Increase Velocity: Build best-in-class training programs that empower Human Interest to continue scaling the organization at a rapid pace, without sacrificing the quality of the training and onboarding experience.
