Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 13 years of experience at an advertising agency and/or consumer product marketing and brand management
  • Experience delivering branded experiences across media and channels
  • Portfolio highlighting multiple projects and your direct contributions



Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with B2B marketing in the technology space, with an understanding of digital marketing and its levers for customer engagement
  • Experience in an agency or an in-house creative team at an organization of significant scale, scope, and complexity
  • Ability and versatility to work with a lot or minimal information quickly, and to experience working with complex and challenging brands and clients
  • Solid conceptual ideas with the ability to distill them to their essence.



About the job

As a Creative in Marketing, you bring visual, design, written and experiential acumen to Google products and services, presented across all major media, content, channels, and experiences. You have the ability to perform your role in a flexible, ever-changing environment and must be open to new influences and inspiration. You will work with a deeply cross-functional team and inspire a team of vendor partners by sharing ideas and developing effective solutions to generate multiple concepts supporting all forms of major media. You will be equally comfortable making; rolling up your sleeves and designing, mocking, writing, or prototyping; showing, not telling. Above all, you will inspire and lead by example by making the most of every opportunity to develop breakthrough creative, consistent with the Google Marketing brand, and be able to take and provide clear direction and creative feedback that pushes work forward.

As Head of Google Cloud Creative Studio, you will play a key role in shaping the brand expression for Google Cloud's brands in the marketplace including campaigns, social media channels, events, and physical environments. You will model a dedication to craft and push to continuously elevate our design quality in ways that celebrate not only our innovative technology but what the technology enables for individuals, businesses, and and society. You will be responsible for setting the creative vision and standards for our flagship brands and building, leading, and nurturing an outstanding in-house creative team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and nurture a diverse group of creatives to deliver impactful work that is anchored in insights and is on brief, on time, and on budget, while building an internal team that attracts outstanding talent and can scale to meet the growth of Google Cloud
  • Lead creative concepting and creative strategy to build foundational programs and design systems that can scale (e.g., campaigns, event series, physical spaces)
  • Empower the team to maintain design quality and elevate it to the highest-level, and hold a high-standard for the team's output setting the right tone for the final product, ensuring differentiation, and representing the customer
  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to creative team members for professional growth
  • Elevate of our brand tone, and develop copywriting and messaging for our two flagship brands
