We’re looking for an Associate Creative Director who wants to push the limits and go beyond the expected—which means we’re on the same page. 

You’ll be joining our in-house creative team to tackle and oversee a breadth of work spanning Lyft Bikes and Scooters; Lyft Business; Lyft Rentals; Express Drive; and Lyft Vehicle Services. You’re a proactive problem-solver and a natural collaborator. You’re comfortable developing and iterating on a wide range of ideas considering multiple audiences and channels. Ideally, you geek out on data as well as design, and you're eager to optimize toward higher performance. You have a fine-tuned aesthetic, insights on current trends, and experience with digital design, illustration, and video. You understand how to work within guidelines and own a flexible design system to craft work that’s always on-brand. You can articulate the "why" behind creative choices, and are equally confident giving creative direction and receiving feedback.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a full-time champion for the Lyft brand and style, while advocating for performance best practices
  • Generate a range of powerful and viable creative concepts and solutions for each project and review/execute creative work across a multitude of communication channels
  • Present your ideas and work with clarity and passion while demonstrating how the creative strategically answers the brief
  • Partner closely with content strategists, writers, creative directors, marketers, lawyers, project managers, product, and everyone else at Lyft
  • Partner with marketing teams to identify opportunities to improve the performance of our creative
  • Inspire, guide, and manage our agency partners, ensuring work is on brand 
  • Manage and mentor a team of 2–4 designers 
  • Educate, inspire, and delight our audience


Experience:

  • 6+ years’ experience designing for performance-based ads/campaigns with digital agency, mobile-first company, or in-house agency
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates exceptional design skills backed by strategic understanding, solid production experience, and results-driven growth and engagement work
  • Experience designing for mobile, responsive design, and animation
  • Knowledge of growth channels, targeting, and iterative creative testing
  • Solid understanding of performance design, as well as composition, color, imagery, and photography
  • Expert-level Adobe Creative Suite and Figma skills
  • Confident and persuasive presentation skills
  • Proven track record overseeing creative campaigns from briefing through launch
  • Demonstrable soft skills including creativity, empathy, adaptability, resourcefulness, openness to feedback, work ethic, and a general tendency to create and share positive vibes
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline-driven environment
