The Motion Designer will create a wide variety of animation and video as a member of the marketing department’s brand and creative services group, both as a solo and as part of a larger team effort. This position’s focus will be in defining and maintaining our brand style in motion, collaborating with company-wide stakeholders, and being a compelling storyteller who brings complex topics to life with simple and engaging visuals. We also highly value the ability to communicate design, graphic motion, and editing in a clear, respectful and open manner with the internal team and stakeholders.


In one year you’ll know you were successful if you…

  • Work closely with fellow designers and video editors to ensure high standards of graphic design, video graphics, and video editing brand consistency and customer experience.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with our team to design motion graphics that transform complicated concepts into clear visuals.
  • Design and create animations and motion graphics for a wide variety of mediums, including video, web, events, email and more.
  • Develop and audit, video graphics, templates, layouts, video edits, vendor proofs and visual standards for customer facing physical display.
  • Prepare video projects for editing.
  • Maintain brand aesthetics and broadcast quality on all products.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of typography and advanced principles of design, using a variety of applications (including After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Create storyboards and design concepts that establish the graphics' intent.
  • Keep project files and archives well-organized and accessible.


A background like this helps: 

  • A strong portfolio of work demonstrating experience in design principles, visual hierarchy, typography and layout.
  • Professional-level understanding of Adobe Suite, with a high level of expertise in Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Understanding of file formats, codecs, and frame rates.
  • Knowledge of transcoding and video editing preparation, color correction, and sound and music editing.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot both creative and technical problems.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a consistent concern for accuracy and polish.
  • Enjoy learning from and working alongside other creatives and are excited to iterate on designs.
  • Experience with Web-based animation is a plus.
