TCG is seeking a Graphic Designer to support brand development and utilization across the company. The Graphic Designer will balance demands from multiple teams and projects. These will include: elaborating, establishing, and guiding the utilization of brand guidelines; creating/editing images and illustrations representing TCG's brand and mission for marketing and recruiting projects; creating graphics to represent engineering concepts and processes alongside subject matter experts; editing visual elements of presentations to ensure they are engaging; and supporting company events.

The right candidate for this role will be an expert in communicating complex ideas clearly and concisely through images and visual elements. They will have the creativity to change and adapt visual styles for different subjects, media types, and audiences. TCG is a highly collaborative environment, so the ability to communicate to different stakeholders across the company and provide and receive constructive feedback is essential.

We are pleased to offer remote employment for this position in the following states, AL, AZ, CO, DC, DE, GA, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NC, OH, PA (outside Philadelphia), TN, VA, or WV.

Responsibilities

  • Develop brand strategy through collaboration across departments
  • Ensure brand compliance and fidelity for all visual products across all TCG channels and artifacts
  • Ensure that design and brand standards and requirements are clearly defined and communicated to teams across TCG (i.e. communicate and explain design decisions to non-designers)
  • Create and design print and digital collateral with a wide range of media and graphic design software
  • Deliver bold, refreshing designs within TCG's brand identity
  • Execute data visualization, technical illustration, and infographic projects to create strong messaging and visually appealing graphics
  • Perform retouching and manipulation of images
  • Design supporting graphics, build comps, prepare meeting materials, layout presentation decks, conduct image searches, create mood boards, and assist the team as needed
  • Develop proposal graphics including organizational charts, tables, graphs, photos, and other illustrations
  • Manage and organize asset and image libraries, project files, templates, and other resources
  • Prepare print and production files, and package and release design files plus proofing as required
  • Implement rounds of internal and client revisions with speed, quality, and accuracy
  • Produce corporate and event collaterals for Back Office teams
  • Support preparation of presentations for Executive Management, proposals, and subject matter experts
  • Be a problem solver in a fast-paced work environment, prioritize/manage multiple complex projects, and actively articulate creative ideas and strategies with the team
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule with high quality
  • Collaborate with the creative team, fabricators, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives


REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • At least 7 years of experience in graphic design or marketing agency
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and other graphic design software
  • Proficiency with Google Productivity Suite and Microsoft tools, particularly Google Slides, PowerPoint, Word, and Publisher
  • Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and web design
  • Ability to lead and facilitate discussions on technical mock-ups using graphic design best practices
  • Excellent eye for detail and serve as a reviewer of technical artifacts
  • Able to thrive in a remote work environment
  • Ability to work a flexible evening and weekend work schedule, in response to emerging project needs
  • Familiarity with Windows-based hardware/software for the responsibilities detailed above


PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with Premiere, After Effects, CSS/HTML, and CMS platforms
  • Knowledge of Section 508 compliance best practices


EDUCATION:

  • BFA or BA from a design, visual arts, or related program in graphic design, arts, communications, illustrations, or related field
