Overview
The Production Artist is responsible for partnering with communications strategists and Corporate Marketing to develop and implement production files that adhere to established brand standards. As a main design resource, they'll need strong design, formatting, and editing skills to actively and clearly produce customer-focused communications across multiple channels (print, email, SMS, etc.) ensuring efficient, timely and effective layouts.
Job Description

  • Actively manage design, layout, and content production of customer communications, with a focus on print and email channels
  • Provide layouts and digital graphics using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Content Builder
  • Ensure our communications comply with PennyMac's brand guidelines, policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements (and changes)
  • Create brand consistency with Corporate Marketing direction
  • Manage the look and feel of communications across multiple platforms (Print / PDF, Digital - desktop / tablet / mobile)
  • Maintain and update divisional brand style guides
  • Implement best practices for design, as well as, usability principles and techniques
  • Independently design solutions: concepts, wireframes, and prototypes
  • Actively assist department with ad hoc projects
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Graphic Design or related field preferred
  • Ability to design, provide layouts and print-ready packages.
  • Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Meticulous formatting and editing skills, highly organized, with strong attention to detail
  • Creative critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Must be a team player, yet able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate communications in a fast-paced environment
  • Fundamental concepts of HTML and/or experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud Content Builder preferred
  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface interdepartmentally
