Innovation Hub @ Autodesk

Position Overview

In this role, you will report to the Innovation Hub Director and be responsible for designing irresistible customer experiences that differentiate our success practices and create real value for our customers. You will work closely with a team of stakeholders from Product Management, Software Engineering, and Content Development to create compelling human and digital experiences that help our customers solve their most critical problems. You will help us define the customer experience strategy and create design solutions that both delight the customer and meet business objectives and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Define, design, and build great experiences from initial concept through successful implementation
  • Conduct and analyze user research activities to gather requirements and derive insights for innovation - interviews, ethnographic observation, workflow analyses, and contextual inquiry
  • Visualize and prototype an intended solution
  • Meet and collaborate with customers and development partners to validate conceptual designs
  • Assist in the coordination and facilitation of usability tests, analytics and other target user research with project partners to validate existing and future feature design (including prototype testing)
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate based on customer feedback
  • Deliver design documentation for use by a wide range of audiences including product development, customer programs, sales and marketing outlining proposed solutions to gain team alignment
  • Maintain active contact with customers and prepare design assets that you will use when you participate in customer research, prototyping and data analysis. Assist with translating this data into the design of new capabilities and/or features
  • Distill customer needs into a set of capabilities that will benefit the customer in the most effective way
  • Integrate business goals, market needs, designopportunities alongside technical constraints into desirable product designs.
  • Ensure that concrete benefits of customer-centereddesign are measured, documented, and communicated
  • Distill complex ideas, large amounts of data and viewpoints to their essence while keeping an eye on the bigger pictures and considering every touch point along the user journey



Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in experience design
  • Demonstrated experience in research - interviews, ethnography, user testing, etc.
  • Strong skills in prototyping and design software, as well as communication software such as PowerPoint
  • Skilled in human-centered design methods and practice
