Job Description

As a Director of User Experience, you will lead creative experience delivery teams and client engagements to develop quality experience design solutions that meet client goals. You will work with partners and advocate for delivering high-quality insights and collaboration with partners. You will apply your passion for wisdom, market intelligence, and product development to mentor talented members of your team. You will identify and set programs of research strategy and empower teams to push the boundaries of what's possible.

Reporting to the ECD, you will establish a capability for accelerating business transformation / launching new digital solutions (products/services), a power that can conceptualize, design, develop, iteratively test, and launch new digital products and accelerators for global clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead experience strategy (and partner with design) to develop customer and partner insights, heuristic and competitive experience analysis, and performance optimization strategies.
  • Build relationships with leaders and partners to shape our overall strategy/plans.
  • Build an inspired User Experience team. Set clear objectives while balancing short-term development with long-term career growth.
  • Be an active member of our global creative leadership team, helping create the wider team's vision, culture and goals.
  • Promote best practices to partners to support the strategic priorities of Search.
  • Winning business, creating excellent digital experiences

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Interaction, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • 12+ years of experience in an executive role creating strategy and designing products.
  • Experience working with designers, product managers, and engineers.
  • Experience integrating research programs throughout the life cycle, including experience with digital, global products.
  • Experience using Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies
  • T-shaped growth - Scope of project experience is essential (as opposed to deep expertise in a functional area)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including XD, Sketch, Figma, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with global system design/working in a design system environment is necessary for this role.
  • A portfolio with examples that exemplifies excellent UX theory and research, compelling ideas, and solid usability designs

Additional Information

For individuals assigned to and/or hired in Colorado, the anticipated salary range for this position is $ 152,000 -$229,000, which is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job-related qualifications. Pay ranges in locations other than Colorado may differ based on labor market wage rates in those locations. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and other benefits also are available.
