About The Role

We’re searching for a Director of Design to lead all Product Design efforts across Crunchbase. This key leader will manage a team of world-class designers that not only enjoy helping our users, but also love having fun, making each other laugh, and helping one another grow to become the best designers they can be. You’ll have a direct line to the Executive team, which will help you not only shape our Design, but also our overall Product Strategy.

This is an exciting time to be joining Crunchbase. We’ve recently shifted focus from our Data & API products, and are doubling down on our core software products, rapidly growing its adoption across both individuals and large enterprise teams simultaneously. You’ll be leading all our design efforts in this area and will be integral to the success of the company.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and mentor a team of product designers to help create seamless experiences for our millions of users
• Partner closely with peers across Product Management, User Research, Engineering, and Marketing to build and launch features in an agile and iterative way
• Work hand-in-hand with our SVP of Product and your team of designers to define a future vision, ethos, and aesthetic for all of Crunchbase
• Act as an internal champion and leader for design and UX

What We're Looking For:

• You’re well rounded on both interaction design and visual design
• You have a strong point of view when it comes to design tools, systems, & processes
• You have shown success working in a fast-paced start-up environment
• You have solid experience (~6+ years) as an individual designer and a manager
• You have around 3+ years managing a product design team and love mentoring designers to help unlock their full potential
