Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Digital Learning Designer for the Knowledge Management (KM) team within the Customer Experience (CX) organization. As a Digital Learning Designer, KM L&D, you would be responsible for the strategy, development, and analysis of best in class learning experiences for our globally distributed CX teams.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Partner with stakeholders to conduct needs analyses, build relationships with Subject Matter Experts, stakeholders, and users, and define program success metrics.
  • Lead the design of the overall learning experience design and advocate for appropriate learning solutions based on adult learning theory, instructional design best practices, and working backwards from the Coinbase customer.
  • Define learning objectives, research, write, design, produce, edit, publish courses, assessments, and learning experience deliverables.
  • Own learning experience project plans from ideation to launch.
  • Scope, design, and develop learning content, including assets and assessments for leader-led and self-paced in-person, blended, and digital solutions.
  • Create learning experiences that engage and excite Coinbase employees while aligning with business needs, satisfying resource constraints, and delivering on intended learning and business outcomes.
  • Support product owners or workstream leads in conducting needs analyses and using design principles driven by data to determine learning product requirements in terms of user and product goals (audience, goal, timeline, learning methodologies, and delivery methods).
  • Use learning analytics and user feedback to recommend improvements for each design cycle.
  • Establish and improve team standards and production processes.
  • Find new ways to produce content that scales and resonates with our increasingly global, busy audience.
  • Oversee an ecosystem of learning opportunities across lines of business and markets.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • 4+ years experience with instructional design and learning technologies with an emphasis on learner experience. 
  • Fluency with rapid instructional design models, and designing for global scale in remote and distributed environments (Bloom’s taxonomy, Agile methodologies, 4MAT, Accelerated Learning techniques, Content Presentation types, ARCS model, and Kirkpatrick Levels of Measurement)
  • Knowledge of current and emerging adult learning theory and its application in corporate learning.
  • Experience building asynchronous and synchronous classroom-based and virtual training programs at scale.
  • Ability to distill complex topics into digestible learning. 
  • Deep learning technology experience (2+ learning authoring tools) with a focus on content creation and visual design e.g. (captivate, articulate 360 suite, easy generator, ispring suite, evolve, photoshop, illustrator, etc).
  • Visual/graphic design skills and comfort turning source material into interactive, visually-appealing, and engaging multimedia learning products
  • Experience with mobile learning, gamification, and other interactive learning methodologies
  • Exceptional project management skills, with experience designing curriculum for a range of audience types from management to technical SME’s.
  • Excellent critical reasoning, writing, and editing skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Comfort navigating organizational ambiguity and complexity.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills; concise and data driven.
  • Develop and monitor specific KPI’s and processes.
  • Ability to successfully influence stakeholders within a complex business environment.
  • Coach and mentor junior members of the team.
