As part of this transformation, we're seeking entrepreneurial individuals to help drive data productization from concept to deployment.
As a Product Designer, you will help transform complex information and tasks into easy-to-use designs for our millions of customer and associates. To do this, you'll need to think visually, using techniques like storyboards and sketching to communicate design concepts. You'll use your deep knowledge of the UX process (research, conceptual design, prototyping, testing), in collaboration with other team members, to iterate multiple solutions and deliver pixel-perfect designs. What you will be responsible for:

  • Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
  • Understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet user needs and vision.
  • Design intuitive user-centered experiences
  • Design experiences optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core functions and features
  • User-centered design approach
  • Rapidly test and iterate designs
  • Planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility evaluations
  • Expertly leverage multiple UX software packages - ex. Sketch, Zeplin and InVision
  • Manage project team User Experience (UE) deliverables by establishing and communicating project needs and measures of success to all functional leads (Design, Architecture, Prototyping, and Writing)
  • Direct cross-functional collaboration activities
  • Drive the attainment of project goals
  • Create customer experience scenarios
  • Advocate for the customer in experience workflow
  • Request and attend usability sessions
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions
  • Present user experience flow and project decisions to all levels of leadership
  • Negotiate product feature trade offs and impact to product development lifecycle with Engineering and Product Management
  • Support User Experience strategy and innovation by evaluating the current competitive landscape for compelling customer experiences
  • Analyze future trends and forecasts in related fields
  • Construct compelling artifacts outlining present conditions and proposed solutions
  • Present information within and across the organization to gain strategic alignment and encourage change
  • Create the User Experience designs (user interface design comps, visual design specs, prototypes, and other visual assets) for medium-sized, diverse projects (i.e. new check-out system) by participating in overall project design definition activities
  • Define methods to be used, including competitive audits and secondary research
  • Drive creation of designs and specs that will advance the company's merchandising, business, marketing, and branding objectives; presenting designs to project and business teams for review; and working with Engineering leads to determine efficacy of given solution
  • Mentor Associate Designers and Designers in day-to-day User Experience design methodology and principles by providing guidance on project-based design tasks
  • Create educational design modules for the User Experience practice curriculum
  • Lead medium-sized, diverse, cross-functional User Experience (UE) projects (i.e. new check-out system of 70+ pages) to generate the overall user experience solution and deliver usability on product within feasibility limits by coordinating all of the UE (Design, Architecture, Writing, Prototypes) and Research (market and user research) activities and deliverables to plan, test and execute the recommended user experience to the Product Manager
  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs
  • Build commitment for perspectives and rationales
  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Identify business needs
  • Determine and carry out necessary processes and practices

Candidate(s) profile

  • Ability to create and manage products within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Passion for data analytics and some experience as a business user/consumer of data/analytics
  • Ability to cultivate clients and partners within a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high executive leadership visibility
  • Ability to think holistically - about the customers using our products, a cohesive design system, and end to end experiences.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and work with others with the same passion, to collaborate and merge solutions into a larger structure and create a cohesive design ecosystem


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of design management experience; strong in product design, growth and measurement
  • Startup or new product/business experience and mindset a plus
  • Experience in retail/eComm, B2B products, or data/analytics industries a plus
  • See's product as a journey vs a destination
  • Views customer requirements as a product feature on a long roadmap vs the end deliverable
  • Able to continually and seamlessly release features and functionality that adheres to rapidly changing user expectations dependent on market trends
