The Operations Engineering team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Designer based out of Salt Lake City, Utah.

What You'll get to Do:
• Design, develop, modify and evaluate mechanical tooling and test equipment, components and integrated product hardware systems.• Determine design approaches and parameters.• Coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications.
• Utilize computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as CAD/CAM.
• Gather information, makes studies, computes calculations, and prepares original rough layouts, sketches to present design proposal.• Select components and design equipment based on analysis of requirements, specifications, cost, and reliability.• Work with others in a multi-disciplined team environment toward a common goal.

Basic Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.• Ability to perform mechanical design utilizing modern design CAD tools.
• Ability to create drawings utilizing strong knowledge in GD&T practices and applications per ANSI/ASME Y14.5.
• Strong knowledge of machining practices.
• Ability to perform CNC programming utilizing CAM tools.• Strong communications skills both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Background in design and development of complex mechanical systems.
• Background in mechanical design of tooling, test/manufacturing equipment, and general factory hardware
• Strong CAD experience in Solidworks and/or NX
• Experience in Additive Manufacturing, 3D Printing• Secret Clearance

MANUMS

Salary Range: $66,500.00 - $110,800.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to basepay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO)for vacation and/orpersonal business.
