As the Senior Designer (Partnerships), you’ll be a core contributor, leader and mentor in the creative team, helping to shape and craft a new and refreshing branding approach to a centuries-old industry. You will be the lead designer for our Partnerships business, conceptualizing digital marketing initiatives or messaging campaigns, and executing relevant assets across a variety of deliverables and mediums directed to our rapidly scaling business partner ecosystem. Together, we’ll evolve and refine the Ethos B2B brand’s strategic POV and design systems, and help define the creative team’s role in helping Ethos communicate in new ways to new business audiences!

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Be the leading creative thought partner with the Partnerships business stakeholders
  • Translate the Partnerships orgs’ business goals and focus projects into compelling customer and audience experiences
  • Work with the Creative Director on our growing Creative team to generate thoughtful ideas, iterate clear concepts, and produce beautiful assets across multiple digital mediums and channels (web banners, social media posts, email marketing, animation, landing pages)
  • Ensure that every brief meets business goals and creative standards
  • Participate in brainstorms and critiques with genuine interest in arriving at the best solution for engaging audiences (new and existing)
  • Ensure a consistent and cohesive brand language by collaborating across departments (Creative, Marketing, Product) 
  • Execute consistent quality of design throughout all phases of the process — sketching, refining working design prototypes, and final production
  • Ability to define, establish, and explain various design standards used in high quality visuals
  • Stay connected to the latest standards and trends in the design field

The right candidate for this role

  • Brings passion for fresh creative thinking and big ideas. Comfortable exploring new channels for creative testing and experimentation.
  • Flexes to both conceptualize and execute projects, with strong bias for action
  • Implements a data-first approach to creative, utilizing data to inform and optimize campaigns.
  • Leads and manages in-house and external teams in creative strategy, execution, and production, in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with clarity and vision
  • Partners with cross functional teams to co-develop creative briefs, translating marketing objectives into creative direction
  • Works with stakeholders to break down complex narratives into simple, compelling ideas
  • Oversees end-to-end creative production from brief through final delivery and performance evaluation

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors in Graphic Design (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 5 years design experience, working on professional creative teams, with firsthand experience producing digital assets (e.g. social media posts (paid and organic), web banners, email marketing, landing pages, animation)
  • Experience designing digital marketing assets (performance metrics, digital platforms)
  • Online portfolio demonstrating range of solutions & creativity
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant software (Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
  • Understanding of current best practices in digital design, including skills across video, web, and animation, with understanding and familiarity with CSS, Javascript, HTML, front-end development, and standards and trends using typography, photography, illustration
  • Strong pre-visualization skills (e.g. wireframes, motion theory)
  • Familiarity and comfort working within UX constraints
  • Startup experience is a plus: comfort in a fluid, faced-paced environment, with ability to multitask or shift focus within a day
  • Easy and positive collaborator across departments, contractors, and agencies
  • Flexible, pragmatic, detail-oriented when necessary
  • Mentor and inspire junior designers when needed
