This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA's family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.
This role is located onsite at our TIAA office in Jacksonville, FL, USA but will currently be remote.
The anticipated term of this engagement will be 11 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.
CW-Digital Marketing
Coordinates and administers multiple media communications programs to promote product and organizational presence in marketplaces consistent with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Evaluating advertising and promotion programs for compatibility with public relations efforts and communicating and reporting for senior management.
- Observing social, economic, and political trends that might have an effect on the organization, and making recommendations to enhance the organization's image based on those trends.
- Working with advertising agencies to create a variety of publicity methods.
- Obtaining relevant information from clients, such as product and organizational details, budget and marketing goals.

TIAA has an opportunity for a CW Sr. UI/UX Designer to support interactive design projects relating to the tiaa.org public website, digital enrollment and online account opening.
Candidates should possess a strong background in user experience, digital design and a demonstrated ability to produce clean and simple layouts and components that solve users' needs. An online portfolio displaying a firm understanding of user-centered design processes and information architecture principles is a must.
The Sr. UI/UX Designer will relentlessly advocate for the customer and inspire others to push the boundaries of what's possible for compelling user experiences that deliver on our vision of caring for our customer's finances up to and through retirement. They will conceptualize these experiences through collaboration, sketching, storyboarding, information modeling and other methods.
Candidates should possess an extensive knowledge of digital design and a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality experiences that organize complex high-volume transactional websites into well-integrated systems that solve customer needs.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with UX, product and digital strategy partners to fully understand the customer journey, potential gaps, and opportunities
- Using a mobile-first mindset, create low- to high-fidelity wireframes, user flows, visual designs, specifications, annotations, and other documentation as needed throughout the design process to appropriately communicate the experience
- Explore new opportunities for the design system to ensure not only brand continuity, but its evolution
- Govern the experience throughout its development lifecycle to ensure integrity of information architecture and usability guidelines
- Flexibility to iterate on and negotiate feedback from collaborative partners in
real time for exceptional customer experiences - Continually explore the competitive landscape and trends within the financial service market
- Maintain a working knowledge of emerging user interface, interaction design standards and
best practices - Build and develop UX team's knowledge and skill set
- Partner with technology partners to ensure technical feasibility and flawless implementation of the design
Required Skills
- Proficiency in presenting creative work, highlighting the customer journey, and defending the design rationale, both internally and externally
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong initiative and work ethic to meet critical project deadlines
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and collaborative creative environment
