The world has changed. Why hasn’t insurance?

Kin’s mission is to reimagine home insurance For Every New Normal. While other insurers struggle to handle a fast-changing world, Kin is built for the future and is prepared to meet its challenges head on while helping our customers do the same.

Kin is proud to be one of BuiltIn Chicago’s 2021 and 2022 Best Mid Sized Companies to work for, and Forbes 2021 Best Startup Employers in North America. Simply put, our people are what make us great, and we need forward-thinking, inspired game-changers like you to join us in our mission.

So, what’s the role?

We’re looking for a Creative Director who will set our creative vision as we continue to grow Kin’s brand and turn our loyal base of customers into enthusiasts. Passionate about values, storytelling, and consumer engagement, you will make Kin’s brand, products, and purpose resonate with our target audiences. You will champion our values and be responsible for creating memorable campaigns that drive brand recognition and customer engagement. You will have the opportunity to put your mark on the growing home insurance market, where direct-to-consumer models are ripe with storytelling opportunities.  In this role, you will lead our creative team’s work and careers.

A day in the life could include:

  • Produce breakthrough creative and craft branded consumer experiences.
  • Lead the development and refinement of compelling brand stories and messages.
  • Provide insights on marketing trends and market research that lead to new creative approaches to brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Collaborate with the new market launch team to plan campaigns emphasizing our unique value proposition to accelerate brand recognition and sales.
  • Team with our Directors of HR and Communications to reimagine our new hire experience to emphasize our core values.
  • Coordinate with channel managers to implement an omnichannel promotional campaign.
  • Brainstorm with the creative team to establish a campaign calendar.

I’ve got the skills… but do I have the necessary ones?

  • 8+ years experience in a corporate or agency setting, with a focus on brand building and creative storytelling
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including display ads, SEM/SEO, social media, and email
  • Proven leadership ability and experience developing and retaining high performing teams
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to influence at all levels in the organization
  • Ability to motivate and inspire agencies and partners

Oh, and don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!

  • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance (including 100% employer-paid plans)
  • Flexible PTO policy
  • Very generous equity options and 401K
  • Parental Leave
  • Continuing education and professional development
  • Disability and Life Insurance
  • The excitement of joining a high-growth Insurtech company and seeing your work make an impact
