Job Description Help us on our mission to create best in class digital experiences in the Commercial Bank at JPMorgan Chase.
We are looking for a creative and resourceful Product Designer to join our Commercial Bank Digital Experience Design team.
The ideal candidate will create best-in-class digital product experiences across various financial touch points, channels and entire eco-systems while participating in the end-to-end design process. You will uphold the tenets of leading with empathy and customer-centricity as you work with product managers, engineers, researchers, writers, designers, marketing, legal, and senior business executives to transform end-to-end customer experiences.
You thrive in highly ambiguous situations and enjoy solving complex problems. Your work will have reach and impact on a large scale in the financial services sector while working in a creative, dynamic and multicultural environment.
Location - Onsite New York, NY or Palo Alto, CA - This is not a remote role
We have started coming back into the office on a hybrid basis with the candidate expected to be based in either NYC or Palo Alto full time. This is not a remote role.
Key responsibilities - This is an individual contributor design role

  • Communicate complex information using interaction design tools, including journey maps, storyboards, information architecture, user flows, wireframes, etc.
  • Execute a variety of design tasks to align with our product deadlines
  • Apply, maintain, and build upon design systems to ensure consistent designs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of designers, product managers, engineers, researchers, subject matter experts, copywriters, and legal
  • Understand and document user research findings and iterate designs based on feedback
  • Deliver wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity screens, and visual assets to support the
    product development process
  • Create click-through prototypes, presentations, and videos to showcase product vision and get buy-in from key stakeholders


Required qualifications

  • +2-5 years of work experience in the product design field
  • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant experience
  • Ability to communicate abstract design concepts visually and verbally in a clear and engaging manner
  • Proficiency in design, prototyping, and presentation software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Suite, Invision, and Keynote
  • Experience in the application of design systems such as Material Design
  • Experience working with Product Management and Development teams
  • Experience working across multiple platforms (e.g., products, websites, mobile apps, etc.)


The softer Required Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in an ambiguous and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment balancing and managing diverse stakeholder needs
  • Ability to collaborate across various functional areas in the organizations and make the case for change through design


Nice to have ' s

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Digital Product Design, Interaction Design, User Experience (UX) Design, Service Design, Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related fields
  • Familiarity with Design Thinking methodology
  • Familiarity with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design
  • Familiarity with financial services
  • Technical knowledge on HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Video editing skills (iMovie, FinalCutPro, or other video editing software)


The final officer title and job grade is at the discretion of the firm and will be discussed at the time of offer. It may be different than what is listed on the requisition based on candidate experience level.
