As the leader and a key member of our growing Brand and Creative Design Team here at Kinsa, you’ll be working closely with your partners in our Marketing, Sales, and Product Design teams. You will use your leadership and creativity to drive a critical team’s success and evolve our brand across a broad range of channels and applications. You will report to and collaborate with the Director of Design.


Your designs will touch millions of lives as our connected products and thermometers are now sold in more than 10,000+ stores nationwide. Our products help families, schools, and communities stay healthy while advancing our broader mission: to create a real time map of human health in order to track—and stop—the spread of disease.

This is the ideal position for a designer who’s looking to:

  • Lead and grow a talented and collaborative Brand and Creative Design team
  • Help drive the direction of Kinsa’s brand and build out systems and process
  • See designs quickly translated from concept to real-world products
  • Make a huge impact in a startup organization, the healthcare industry and in the day-to-day lives of families across the country

Responsibilities:

  • Own the strategy, management, and growth of our Brand and Creative Design team
  • Mentor and actively facilitate the professional growth of designers under your leadership
  • Help develop and grow our brand to ensure consistency across everything we do
  • Manage and work on multiple creative projects simultaneously, collaborating with sales, customer experience and marketing partners, to develop compelling concepts in a myriad of marketing channels
  • Design compelling content for our website, social media, digital marketing campaigns, emails, slide decks, infographics, videos, packaging, sales support, promotional materials and more
  • Support our smaller internal media projects with illustration, motion graphics, video editing, photography and more
  • Facilitate honest and collaborative communication, leading by example and articulating your design decisions clearly and effectively to the team
  • Critically analyze the success of your solutions and iterate quickly on new ideas

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years experience in a Brand/Graphic/Communication design role, with experience developing, evolving, and applying a company’s brand and design across a suite of products
  • 2+ years experience managing designers
  • Experience creating and evolving design systems and processes
  • A strong visual aesthetic, with a deep understanding of color, composition, and typography
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
  • Experience working across digital and print mediums
  • Willingness to take initiative, run with projects, and speak up when support or guidance is needed
  • Outstanding organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication skills, understanding driving alignment and collaboration are integral to a successful team and culture

Nice-to-haves:

  • Video editing and motion graphics experience
  • Packaging design experience
  • Familiarity with Product Design tools like Sketch and Figma
