Job Description:

Merkle is an award-winning, full-service global Experience Innovation and Digital Commerce Design agency. We use imagination, creativity and technology to help our clients create experiences that empower individuals, build brands and transform businesses.

We are seeking a talented visual designer to join our creative team. As a Visual Designer and member of the Merkle creative community, you will collaboratively craft engaging, impactful communications across a range of digital media, from ongoing email campaigns and social media to contributing to larger initiatives like website redesigns and multi-channel integrated marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities
• Proficiency for time management, organization, and communication (written, oral, and interpersonal)
• Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with the ability to focus under pressure, even when working from home
• Possess a solid understanding of fundamental design principles with the ability to explain the thinking behind your design choices
• Design and create digital solutions for a variety of clients across a number of business verticals.
• Participate in defining digital brand visual identity systems and atomic design pattern libraries.
• Participate in the creation of design concepts, visual design comps, clickable prototypes and more.
• Design and create content assets for digital experience platforms and digtal/social marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate with team members to design and create sales materials for new business pursuits.
• Participate in usability research and customer feedback sessions.
• Collaborate with strategists, visual designers and developers as you learn to work as part of a high-functioning team, delivering work of the highest quality.
• Present work in internal and client meetings, and personally articulate rationale for design decisions.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's / associate's degree or equivalent experience in Visual Communication or related field.
• 1-3 years of professional experience with an online portfolio demonstrating a keen attention to detail
• Demonstrated knowledge of best practices across multiple digital channels including email, social media, web design, e-commerce and mobile
• Substantial proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and related design tools
• Fluency with Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD (or willingness to learn)
• Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoiont presentations
• Eagerness to take on design challenges, collaborate and grow professionally.
• Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills.

Additional Information:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $50,000-$70,000. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
