Responsibilities:

Training Program Design & Development

  • Designs, develops, and manages distribution of Training tools and product training material.
  • Collaborate with Learning and Development team and key stakeholders to identify Learning and Development product opportunities.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to identify training needs and recommend appropriate learning solutions.
  • Define learning objectives and outcomes for each Training Program.
  • Design and develop foundational Training Programs and materials for all store level associates.
  • Manage large-scale Training Program development and deployment.
  • Maintain and update existing content, including all tools and learning Programs.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to collect content for training solutions.
  • Develop new learning courseware using blended learning solutions and sound instructional design expertise.
  • Oversee team responsible for the production and editing of photography and videos for training purposes
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve Programs; administer surveys and other feedback processes as appropriate.
  • Design and develop instructional material by incorporating adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Adhere to RaceTrac Learning and Organizational brand standards, and maintain design consistency and quality across all instructional content.
  • Manages content development life cycle to ensure timely delivery of instructional material.
  • Oversee project development and adherence to project timelines and scope.
  • Maintain strong communication and working relationships with field and SSC internal customers in order to stay informed of changing needs, and make proactive recommendations.
  • Work individually and collaboratively to meet deadlines and expectations for each project.
  • Ensure that training tools are fresh, relevant and easy to execute.



Other

  • Establish, lead and manage projects and Programs, as assigned, by developing project plans, coordinating details for projects, and delivering all projects on time and within budget.
  • Execute projects according to project plans and establish a communication schedule to inform appropriate staff of project updates and progress.
  • Drive change through active process evaluation and generation of improvement solutions.
  • Support Operations projects and implementation with design and deployment of training support.
  • Represent Learning & Development on selected cross-functional project teams; build and maintain productive working relationships with key cross-functional business partners; report back as needed.
  • Leverages innovation and creativity to build future performance improvement solutions.
  • Act as internal consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to Training issues.
  • Serve as an innovative expert for training systems and tools, staying current of trends and tools, and providing direction and assistance on the development of new and effective ways to train.
  • Other projects as assigned by supervisor.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Instructional Design or Human Resources preferred
  • 3-5 years' experience in designing instructional/training programs and resources preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro) required
  • Experience in creating instructor guides, participant guides, self-directed development programs, and job aids required
  • Proficiency with multi-media authoring and publishing tools (Articulate Storyline, Captivate, E-Learning Suite, or comparable format) required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience incorporating ADDIE is required
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Experience publishing eLearning content to an LMS platform is a plus
  • Experience creating training materials for a retail or food service organization preferred
  • Experience in needs analysis and development of training objective
