Position Title: Associate Experience Designer
External Description:
Join the Experience Design Team driving the UX and UI effort for our NFL and NBA mobile apps. Promote the user-centered design, and be a collaborator and facilitator. Help guide the direction of the experience with a player-focused attitude as part of a diverse team of software developers and creative professionals. We are all about having fun, taking chances, and making great games that people want to play with their friends. Working on the next evolution of our NFL and NBA software, we are set to provide an experience to embrace and build upon everything that makes our franchises so special. EA SPORTS Mobile is looking for a UI Designer to join our Orlando-based Experience Design Team to help maintain the look and feel for our UI. You will report to the Art Director.

Responsibilities
You will build relationships while working with a cross-disciplinary team, and partner groups to set priorities towards meaningful design solutions to meet the player and business goals within technical constraints. You and your team will apply and assist to establish a set of design standards, documentation, and principles that reflect our brand and are used alongside a design system of design interactions, patterns, and scalable components. You and your team will distill user research, competitive analysis, and feedback into user-centered design goals. You will organize, labeling and structuring content in a way that is understandable for users/players to allow them to find and move through information and complete tasks You will create iconography, pixel-accurate mocks, and specs of product screens for handoffs during feature production, assisting with development decisions and mitigate risk. You will help teams empathize with users and advocate for the usability and accessibility of mobile gaming.

Qualifications
BA, BFA or higher degree in HCI, computer science, design or related studies 3 years of experience as an interface designer for games Experience designing touch-optimized layouts for web or mobile apps Experience leading as an advocate for quality with a sense of aesthetics and understanding of composition, grid, color theory, typography, and high fidelity interfaces Experience presenting and rationalizing UI design strategy and decisions to diverse audiences using these opportunities to advocate for players, share knowledge and demonstrate design thinking in action Proficiency with tools such as XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop Established UX design sensibilities to understand different stages of development (i.e. user scenarios, flows, wireframes) Be knowledgeable of players needs, desires, and of technical limitations to support unbiased, accurate, and beautifully accomplished design solutions Understand free to play mobile games with a solid grasp of market design trends Knowledge of the NFL and NBA is not a requirement It is required you share a portfolio or work samples, inclusive of unique and original designs for web and mobile platforms.
