Our marketing team is looking for an Associate Creative Director of Copy with experience in bringing big brand concepts to life! In this role, you'll be a crucial part of determining the voice that Rocket Mortgage portrays to a national audience. While taking part in 360 campaigns you'll be involved from ideation to execution. As part of a full in-house marketing agency, this role will focus on large-scale social campaigns, national broadcast work (including talent, production and editing work), various collegiate and professional partnerships, multicultural marketing and nationwide sweepstakes.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10 years of design or copywriting experience with a broad range of experience in all facets of creative
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud
• Knowledge of project management systems and digital asset management systems
• Knowledge of all stages of the production process (preproduction through post)
• Integrated campaign experience
• Familiarity working with voice and tone style guides

Job Summary

As the Associate Creative Director of Copy,you will need to be curious, highly motivated, and interested in what's going on around the world and how it impacts brands. You will also need to be a self-starter who understands trends and will create your own with big ideas and compelling storytelling. You'll master the art of collaboration and hone your work to perfection while ensuring it's strategically sound. You will also examine insights and strategy to deliver creativity on par with the growth of the business and the brand. As the Associate Creative Director of Copy, you will be hands-on when it comes to concepting and being obsessed with execution (so production knowledge is a must too).

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts based on strategic and marketing criteria that aim to build the business
• With the Lead Copywriter and Senior Lead Copywriter, develop innovative, creative campaign concepts that increase brand awareness, solidify client loyalty, and ultimately drive sales
• Manage and direct the content of projects from initial concept to launch that align with strategic briefs and business objectives
• Work closely with creative strategists, project managers, and producers to stay within budget, scheduling requirements, and project parameters
• Formulate copy concepts and presentation approaches
• Review proofs of print, digital, social, and broadcast copy
• Assess the best work to pitch for approval by Creative Strategy and executive-level stakeholders
• Lead the conversation on the newest and best digital marketing trends, including understanding usability, browser environment, search engine marketing, brand strategy, and more
• Act as a thought leader by continuously identifying and finding solutions for areas of opportunity in the business by way of creative problem solving and brand, voice, and tone alignment
