ARISTOCRAT is seeking an Art Director to join our GIMMIE GAMES studio in Decatur, GA. This position allows the flexibility to both work from home as well as in our Decatur office. As a member of our art department, you will bring to life the characters, environments, and other art assets that help us to create our immersive mobile gaming experiences
The role of the Art Director for digital games will be to oversee and review all art and animation assets for quality and continuity with the vision of the Game design team. Directing a fully functioning Art team focused on developing social casino products from start to finish.
Our art department prides itself on producing what we consider to be some of the most dynamic, compelling, and beautiful mobile slots games in the world. We believe in fostering a fun and collaborative work environment that both pushes our artists to be the best they can be, while also preserving a healthy work-life balance. We plan well and execute tasks efficiently. We never crunch and we do not do weekends.
International travel may be required throughout the year.
The Art Director position is full-time and immediately available.What You'll Do

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review all art and animation assets for quality and continuity with the Principal Art Director and Game Design core team.
• This person supervises a group of digital artists and animators from concept to release date of game.
• Help Artist to improve illustration skills and rendering.
• Give input on the scope of the game, schedule and assign the development to a particular member.
• Be involved in planning meetings for the specific representation of game dynamics and choreographies.
• Create Visual Concept, themes, and Wireframes for each game.
• Work close with Artists and animators in the day-to-day visual development of the game.
• Coordinate with Art Production manager all art and animation production.
• Track milestones and ensure that the team stays on schedule.
• Critique and reviews art when it comes in.
• Give notes for revision, provide mock-ups, and light the fire under the staff in Daily Basics until the final product is approved.
• All other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Casino Industry experience required.
• 6+ years Professional Job Experience.
• 4+ years Leadership Experience within a team/studio.
• 5+ years of illustration in game/animation industries
• Bachelor’s degree in art/sequential art or equivalent.
• Demonstrate understanding of game production and understand the art Assets involved.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
• Must be highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to give constructive feedback and art critiques.
• Strong understanding of Illustration abilities and techniques.
• Strong understanding of Animation abilities and techniques.
• Highly proficient in Photoshop.
• Basic knowledge in After Effects, Spine and Unity.
