2D UI/UX Artist, Mid
The Challenge:

Are you looking to use your design skills to help create an immersive experience? Art, when used in a business setting, is essentially visual storytelling with a real-world impact. As an immersive artist, you can work with a creative team to model and texture 3D assets. On our team, you'll help develop artwork for the applications and demonstrations that play an important role in how government clients meet their missions. We're looking for someone like you to help us use innovation to keep the warfighter safe and change the face of training.

In this role, you'll have the chance to build your skills and experience in developing and delivering photo-realistic 3D environments and models using industry software, including Maya, Z-Brush, and 3DS Max. Together with a team of experts, you'll create models, textures, and environments for operational tools, simulations, wargaming, and training systems. You'll develop both in-game and pre-rendered quality environments for a variety of styles, including realistic geo-specific and general interior. You'll expand your skills and learn lighting techniques and visual effects (VFX) as we support and encourage professional and artistic growth. As part of our innovation laboratory, you'll also get to help the team explore new augmented reality, virtual reality, and mixed reality technology and their capabilities.

You Have:

• 2+ years of experience with UI, including for games or training applications
• Ability to use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, including typography, color theory, and layout
• Ability to provide a demo reel or online portfolio
• Ability to handle multiple projects at once
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Game Engine using Unity, Unreal, or an equivalent engine
• Experience in UI with AR and VR applications
• Experience with motion graphics and 2D Animation
• Experience with 3D modeling
• Experience in production with graphics design or illustration
• Ability to demonstrate a passion for game development or training applications
• Ability to be a detail-oriented self-starter
• BA or BS degree
